The Jožef Stefan Institute Announces Recipients of the 2026 Internal Call for Innovation Development Funding

The Jožef Stefan Institute has announced the recipients of funding under its 2026 internal call for innovation development. The purpose of the call is to support projects with high potential to advance their technological or business development level and to foster the transfer of knowledge into practice.

Out of eleven submitted proposals, five innovative projects have been selected for one year of funding. The selected projects address current challenges in the fields of cosmetics, biotechnology, materials, environment, and mobility:

  • Povečanje proizvodnje bakterijskih pigmentov z RONS aktivacijo (team leader: Naomi Northage)
  • Nadgradnja in razširitev platforme za pripravo nanoteles proti RNA tarčam (team leader: Gašper Žun)
  • Večsmerno z magnetnim poljem krmiljena naprava za 3D-tiskanje (team leader: Muhammad Shahid Arshad)
  • Semi-industrijska nadgradnja in avtomatizacija sistema nizkotlačne plazma v superkavitacijskem mehurčku za čiščenje namakalnih voda in širše (team leader: Gregor Primc)
  • Integracija piezoelektričnih elementov za ultrazvočno čiščenje pokrovov zaznaval za varnejšo avtonomno vožnjo (team leader: Andraž Bradeško)

The selected projects demonstrate strong innovation potential with significant societal and economic impact.
