WHO WE ARE
Knowledge Transfer Slovenia (KTS) represents a community of knowledge transfer offices from thirteen research organizations in Slovenia.
A knowledge transfer office is a service unit within a university or institute that supports cooperation with industry and strives to ensure that research results quickly and effectively transition into products and services that benefit society.
MISSION
Our mission is to systematically and nationally connect the academic community with industry, the public sector, and wider society in order to create innovations for the benefit of society.
GOALS
Our goals are to:
- establish standards for knowledge transfer in dialogue with external stakeholders that will increase security and facilitate mutual collaboration,
- create new connections between researchers and companies,
- strengthen the culture of innovation and awareness of intellectual property in the academic environment and beyond,
- improve the quality of knowledge transfer offices through mutual learning and the exchange of best practices,
- provide a clear and accessible overview of resources, tools, and stakeholders supporting knowledge transfer.
We are developing our shared platform prenosznanja.si with the aim of making it the central hub for access to information, services, and support in the field of knowledge transfer, research commercialization, and innovation promotion. On the platform, you can find offers, tools, and motivation that will simplify your approach and enable effective cooperation with research organizations in Slovenia.

This project is implemented within the 2021-2027 Program, policy objective 1: A more competitive and smarter Europe by promoting innovative and smart economic transformation and regional connectivity in the field of ICT; priority 1: Innovation knowledge society; specific objective 1.1: Development and improvement of research and innovation capabilities and the introduction of advanced technologies.
The platform and cooperation among offices are co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the European Union within the Project to Support Knowledge Transfer Office Activities.
