Workshop “AI as Your Knowledge Transfer Partner”

The Center for Development and Knowledge Transfer of the University of Primorska invites you to an interactive workshop “AI as Your Knowledge Transfer Partner.” The workshop is intended for researchers, lecturers, professional staff, and anyone interested in using artificial intelligence as an effective partner in knowledge transfer and in their everyday research or teaching activities. Participants will become familiar with various AI tools, their advantages and limitations, as well as practical ways to use them for writing, research, data analysis, and the preparation of project proposals.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Uroš Godnov, an expert in programming, data science, and business informatics.

The workshop will take place on 20 March 2026, from 13:00 to 16:00, in English, and will be held online via Zoom.

Workshop Programme

13:00–13:15 – Introduction round: short introductions of participants and exchange of experiences regarding the use of artificial intelligence.

13:15–14:00 – Overview of AI tools: presentation of commonly used tools, their advantages and limitations, and a discussion on realistic expectations and academic integrity.

14:00–14:45 – Practical session: using artificial intelligence for writing, literature search, and preparation of project proposals. Includes live demonstrations and short individual exercises.

14:45–15:00 – Coffee break

15:00–15:40 – Practical session: data analysis and visualization with the help of AI using a concrete example—from data preparation to interpretation of results.

15:40–16:00 – Open discussion: ethical considerations, data protection, and recommendations for further use of AI tools in research and teaching.
