Rector’s Award of the University of Ljubljana 2026

The Rector’s Award for Best Innovation of the University of Ljubljana is an opportunity for students, researchers employed at UL, and alumni to further develop their ideas and present them to the public. The competition, organised in cooperation with the Ljubljana University Incubator (LUI), provides participants with expert support, mentoring, and financial awards.

About the competition

The Rector’s Award for Best Innovation of the University of Ljubljana is a prestigious competition aimed at fostering entrepreneurial and innovation potential within the academic environment. Each year, we highlight the most promising technological and social innovations and support them in entering the market.

Applications for this year’s call are open until 13 September 2026 (23:59). The presentation of finalists and the award ceremony will take place on 22 October 2026.
