Online Info Day on the EIC Pathfinder Challenges 2026 Call

The European Innovation Council (EIC) will organize an online information day on 20 March 2026 to present the thematic challenges of the EIC Pathfinder Challenges 2026 call, which supports the development of breakthrough technologies in the early stages of development (TRL 1–4).

The opening plenary session will provide general information about the funding scheme, which is intended for high-risk research and innovation projects with strong potential for the development of radically new technologies.

This will be followed by parallel presentations of the thematic challenges for 2026, led by EIC Programme Managers:

  • Advanced materials for miniaturized energy-harvesting systems
  • Biotechnology for healthy ageing
  • DeepRAP: deep reasoning, abstraction and planning for reliable cognitive artificial intelligence systems

Participants will be able to ask questions live via the Q&A platform. As in previous years, there will also be an opportunity for a short 2-minute idea pitch for those seeking project partners. Interested applicants must indicate their interest during registration.

The event will be streamed live from Brussels, and recordings and presentations will also be available after the event. Registration is not required to watch the livestream, but it is required to participate in the presentations and must be completed by 16 March 2026.

More information about the event, programme, and registration is available on the official website of the European Innovation Council.

All interested participants are invited to attend the online information day and are also encouraged to inform the National Contact Point if they intend to submit a proposal.
