Join us at Slovenia’s largest festival dedicated to building an innovation community and fostering partnerships between academia and industry.
About the UNI.MINDS Festival
This year, the UNI.MINDS Festival is once again taking place as part of the “Month of Science,” supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth. The festival offers insights into the technologies and expertise of researchers from the University of Ljubljana, the University of Maribor, and the University of Primorska.
Connecting academia and industry enables researchers to gain insight into the real-world challenges faced by companies. This helps establish strong partnerships that facilitate the search for innovative solutions to specific industry challenges, contributing to the advancement and competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.
Challenges Presented by Slovenian Companies
The organizers of this year’s UNI.MINDS Festival invite entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, students, and other interested individuals to submit their innovative proposals for addressing one or more challenges presented by selected Slovenian companies: Dravske elektrarne Maribor and PCBontime d. o. o.
Ideas can be submitted via the online form until 10 September 2026.
The submitted proposals will be forwarded to the companies. Selected ideas will have the opportunity to be presented in a short 5-minute pitch and to connect with company representatives as part of the festival excursions:
- 14 October 2026 – at the PCBontime d. o. o. company premises in Cerknica,
- 20 October 2026 – at the premises of Dravske elektrarne Maribor, Fala Hydroelectric Power Plant in Maribor.
Selected proposers will also have the opportunity to attend a free online workshop on how to successfully pitch their ideas to entrepreneurs and co-financers.
Become part of the innovation story and secure your place among the first to learn more about upcoming opportunities at UNI.MINDS 2026.
