Personal Data Protection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the University of Ljubljana, we respect your privacy and will protect your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95\/46\/EC (General Data Protection Regulation \u2013 GDPR), the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 163\/22 \u2013 ZVOP-2), and internal acts of the University of Ljubljana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Data Controller<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The controller of personal data processed in accordance with these rules is the&nbsp;<strong>University of Ljubljana<\/strong>, Kongresni trg 12, 1000 Ljubljana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Data Protection Officer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Data Protection Officer at the University of Ljubljana can be reached via email at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:dpo@uni-lj.si\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dpo@uni-lj.si<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Data Processor<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the purpose of operating the website, the University of Ljubljana uses an external personal data processor. The mutual relationship and obligations, including data protection, are defined and regulated by a written contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contractual data processor for personal data collected through the website is&nbsp;<strong>CNJ d.o.o., Dunajska 47, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Purposes of Processing Based on Consent<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The University of Ljubljana processes the following personal data\u2014name, surname, email address, and organization\u2014based on the individual&#8217;s consent, which is provided when accessing restricted sections of the website. These data are collected via an external application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The data are processed for the following purposes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>to enable access<\/strong>\u00a0to restricted areas of the website,<\/li><li><strong>to collect usage statistics<\/strong>\u00a0related to the competence search service,<\/li><li><strong>and to facilitate communication<\/strong>\u00a0with users seeking research competencies through the platform.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Retention Period of Personal Data<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personal data obtained based on consent for the above-mentioned purposes is processed and stored&nbsp;<strong>until the consent is revoked<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. Rights of the Individual<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the consent given for the above-mentioned purposes, you may exercise the following rights at any time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right to access your personal data;<\/li><li>The right to rectify or supplement personal data;<\/li><li>The right to delete personal data;<\/li><li>The right to restrict the processing of personal data (in certain cases);<\/li><li>The right to data portability \u2013 in the case of a contract or personal consent and when processing is carried out by automated means.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can submit a request to exercise any of these rights in writing by mail to&nbsp;<strong>University of Ljubljana, Kongresni trg 12, 1000 Ljubljana<\/strong>, or via email to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:dpo@uni-lj.si\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dpo@uni-lj.si<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Right to lodge a complaint:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you believe that your rights are not being properly enforced, we encourage you to contact us first.
